Southern African Wildlife Management Association (SAWMA)
AWMS currently have a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with our sister society in southern Africa, the Southern African Wildlife Management Association (SAWMA). We have a mutually beneficial arrangement whereby SAWMA sends one of their members to our annual conference every second year, and we send an AWMS member to their annual conference in the intervening years. This arrangement is yielding two-way benefits, with several AWMS members taking on research projects in Africa and vice versa.
