AWMS provides a number of incentives and grants to its members to further their careers and to acknowledge their contribution to the field of wildlife management. AWMS is also very focused on ensuring the continuing training and contributions of students to the field of wildlife management.
To acknowledge the contributions of professionals to the wildlife management field AWMS offers the Caughley Medal, the Caughley Travelling Scholarship and the Practitioner Award. For students AWMS offers the D.W. Cooper Student Thesis Award, the Honours and Undergraduate Travel Scholarship, the Best Student Presentation Award and a Conference Travel Subsidy for students to attend the annual conference.
All awards granted by AWMS are exempt from administrative charges or cost recovery arrangements by a University or other organisations.
